Thoughts of my vain mind

Well here I go again with one of my poems. I'm not really much of a poet but I really get in the mood of writing poems before I go into battle, or should I say before I go about undertaking some big task or some such, after all everyday is a good day to die and what better way to celebrate it than by doing some poetry, but anyways enough of my ramblings.

Thoughts of my vain mind

"Everytime i gaze upon your eyes,i cannot help but be mesmerized
Thoughts of you overpower my mind, should i ask your for your hand or should i not
Your serenity, your calmness, your grace you are a true lady amongst the ladies
Everytime you pass me by i cannot help but stare and admire
and compare you to the brightest star, that illuminates the darkened sky
Oh my lady! when will you ever be mine?"

New Beginning...for me at least

Ooh! I am so happy and excited now that I have found a new job in a company that I'm beginning to love and admire to say the least. Everything went according to plan and nothing is sweeter than a plan that went well and even exceeded expectations. Although it's a bit too early to celebrate such a sweet victory, so right now I'll just listen to Tristeza, read The Rommel Papers and enjoy my cup of coffee. Cheers!

People should know...

That no matter whom we elect, no matter how many times we march in the streets, no matter how noisy our chants are, no matter what type of we protest we perform everything will remain the same. It is the system that needs to be changed. A system that has been there for as long as we can remember, a society that has a rotting core but for some reason it still stands and has stood. Who we need to challenge are not only the leaders but the people themselves, each and every one of us has to take a long good look at ourselves and ask if we are doing our part or are we just being a burden. Criticism and self criticism, but heck as it stands it is only done one way, we just criticize and we look at ourselves as the righteous hapless victims. Whether we like it or not we Filipinos don't want to leave our comfort zones, we are afraid to make sacrifices we are afraid of things we are uncertain of and in the end we shift the blame to other people, we find scapegoats (something we Filipinos are fond of for that matter!). We must learn to stand up and take responsibility! We should always remember change will start from us, change will not come from above and sometimes sacrifices must be made!

Embarrassingly Poetic

Here I go again, fancying myself a poet not to mention being inspired by a certain lady whom I find so wonderful and so vibrant, I composed a poem for her. It's my little way of expressing myself to her in a more artful and chivalric manner. I just can't help it! anyways here it is:

Embarrassingly Poetic

The first time I saw your smile I was captivated and charmed
You have rekindled within me this passion so strong this feeling so deep
That sometimes I stop and think about, if all these are real

You are like a fairy that fascinates me,
The longer I look at you the more I get enthralled
By the prism of your beauty that radiates and scintillates

What is it about you that keeps me mesmerized
How can I explain all the things I feel
It makes me wonder if all these are real

Now I must apologize for my bumbling incoherence
These simple words I cannot say before your presence
So please pardon me for trying to be embarrassingly poetic

Regrets...

I saw her again, I can’t believe my eyes! She’s right there, right in front of me. Although I don’t think she still remembers me but I do remember her, her face, a face that will be forever etched in my psyche and in my spirituality. When my eyes crossed hers I felt a feeling I haven’t felt since...It was like being hit by thousand lightning bolts multiple times! Albeit she's already a distant memory and should remain as a ghost of the past, she is still in my mind and would always be in my mind and in my heart always! Her distinct features are still there and perhaps more beautiful than she was before. Ten years... it's only two words. But to live it is a long time. She is one of those things that hundred years hence I would still not be able to forgive myself for passing on a chance, a regret that will always echo deep inside of me, it is something that had already left a gaping wound that will never ever heal! She really turned my heart around! I don’t really know, looking back I feel really foolish, it’s like saying to myself “hey what have I done!?” I feel really useless, really empty deep inside, if I will be given another chance perhaps I will not make the same choice I have done before. I hate myself so very much for all those stupid decisions I have done. Sometimes I feel that death is really the only way to cleanse oneself of all the wrong things, wrong doings one has committed and of course death is the true path towards attaining true peace. Now I can only be with her in my dreams and forever grasp her hand under the never ending warmth of the summer breeze!

Munificence

swaying like leaves
fluttering like butterfly wings
life is truly magnificent to behold

the opus of life is often misunderstood
by those people who seek the truth
the greater mysteries of life they like to understand

dig deep they need not
for life, unlike most treasures, has no value set
it's true worth lies to those who live it each and every passing day
